I grew up in Stillwater, MN, in a family rooted in teaching, coaching, and small business. My dad was a high school teacher, hockey coach, owned a hockey clinic business, and a bike shop in Stillwater. My mom owned a tea/coffee shop in the Old Stillwater Post Office. My main career plan was to play professional hockey. That path took me through Division I college hockey, a National Hockey League draft pick, and professional hockey in Germany before life led me in a new direction.

When my hockey career came to an end, I used my Business Finance degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, which brought me to State Farm Insurance. Around that same time, I reconnected with Lori, my high school sweetheart. We married, settled in Anoka/Ramsey area, and raised our four children, Adam, Alex, Casey, and Rachel. Being parents has been one of the greatest honors and privileges of our lives.

We opened our first State Farm agency in Andover in 2005 and expanded with a second office in Anoka in 2025.

Building long‐term relationships with customers and friends across these communities has been both a blessing and a responsibility we take seriously. We are strongly connected in the community. I serve as Vice Chair of our home church Northgate Church in Ramsey. I am a board member on the Anoka ACBC Food Shelf. Mentor youth through Adult and Teen Challenge. Volunteer with the Minneapolis House of Charity Food Shelf. Volunteer with Thumbs Up in Elk River bringing awareness to suicide prevention. We also partner with the Minnesota Kindness Alliance allowing them to conduct meetings in our office and spread kindness to the world. Hockey continues to play a major role in my life. I am the USA Hockey Coach‐in‐Chief for Minnesota, coach youth hockey, work with Hockey Ministries sharing my faith with our youth, and am involved with youth hockey programs locally and nationally.

Our agency is supported by an incredible team of 12 full‐time and 4 part‐time licensed professionals who collectively bring more than 100 years of insurance experience. Together, we help customers throughout Andover, Anoka, Ramsey, Coon Rapids, Ham Lake, Oak Grove, East Bethel, Blaine, and all of Anoka County. In January 2023, our family experienced the loss of our beloved son Casey. While we are heartbroken and continue to carry that grief, we feel God's presence and peace and are deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support shown by our community. It has been life‐changing and a constant reminder of the strength that comes from God working through others.
